MY STORY
IN 1994, I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH LUPUS THROUGH THE PREGNACY OF MY DAUGHTER. AFTER BATTLING MULTIPLE LIFE-THREATNING EXPERIENCES, I DECIDED TO LIVE A LIFE OF DETERMINATION TO DEFEAT LUPUS!
I am Monic, and I started Lupus911 after triumphing over two decades of living with two types of lupus: SLE and Discoid. Along the way, I’ve learned to face lupus head-on and not allow this disease to defeat me through my willpower of not giving up.
Lupus is an unpredictable and misunderstood disease that damages different parts of the body. Lupus is not only difficult to diagnose and hard to live with, but it can be challenging to treat and, in some cases, can be fatal. That’s why Lupus911 want to increase the awareness of lupus by educating the public about the seriousness of the disease and to improve the quality of life for all people affected by lupus.

Lupus911 vision is to have a global network collectively, serving those suffering from lupus by enhancing the awareness of lupus to the level where we no longer have to ask, “what is lupus?”
We believe when you educate others on lupus, you increase the understanding on how lupus attacks the mind, body and soul, and can change a community and ultimately, the world. Lupus 911 strives to be part of the solution in improving the lives of those affected by lupus and their families.
